Being at the coast is our relaxing time for the year. Always beautiful, no matter what the weather is like. This time, we had temps in the low 70s all week long! Mendocino Preferred always makes you feel like you are of VIP status! Thank you!!

This rental has something for everyone and everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Took our annual vacation with siblings, group of eight. Have been to the Ft Bragg area 4-5 times. This was by far the best home we have rented. Excellent views and very clean. Very relaxing sitting on the point watching the sunset and watching the seals below us.

Fabulous place and great management company. My only complaint is that both downstairs bedrooms had an issue --both the queen bed and the king bed bottom sheet was NOT TUCKED IN so the mattress pad was exposed and what our feet were sleeping on ! It felt lumpy towards the bottom where our feet were but we did not figure it out until the last night. Very unclean and unprofessional and bad on the part of the cleaning staff.

Great location, very clean, and well stocked

I stumbled upon the Sea Cloud in 2020, during COVID, and have stayed at lease one time every year, since. This vacation rental has 4 en suite bedrooms, each with its own unique features/views. 3 rooms provide an ocean view. The house is always spotless upon arrival and communication with/from the agency is on point. This trip we had 3 adult couples, who all loved Sea Cloud as much as we do. See you again very soon.

We rented this house for a family get together -- not realizing it was very near a place our parents had dearly loved. It was a wonderful experience and the views were spectacular. Lucky enough to see spouting whales and a golden eagle on our last day!

My family of 5 stayed 6 nights and had a great time. It was our first time in northern CA (at least north of San Fran). The views are amazing (from every room and the primary bedroom especially), and the house is well-equipped. The hot tub outside the primary bedroom was nice, but not hot enough, and they needed better instructions. But it was in the perfect location and we used it each day. Two good decks for star gazing. A few things I didn't know until I got there - although the house is right by Seaside Beach, it is slightly dangerous to walk there on the roadside - although you can do it if you are careful. But we just drove to that beach several nights to see the sunset - perfect. I could have spent the entire week on that beach. And from that beach, you can walk all the way to 10 mile beach. On the way back to SFO, we drove along Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) - every inch of it was like a postcard. We had dinner in Sausalito on the way back to the airport and I wish we had more time there. I'd recommend the Skunk Train in Fort Bragg to see the redwoods. We loved Russian Gultch - but any of those beaches are fun. We saw more redwoods in Montgomery Woods State Reserve. We also rented kayaks in Fort Bragg which was fun. Too much to do and not enough time. I'd love to go back one day - and I'd go back to that house.

Our group had a fantastic stay. The house is great for couples and families that want to both have a place to gather, but then also have a private room experience. I've stayed here multiple times and will continue to return.

We loved our stay at Sea Cloud. With 4 bedrooms and 5 full baths , it was perfect for four couples. There is plenty of space for everyone with upstairs and downstairs entertainment areas. We are already making plans to return!

This absolutely STUNNING home was so incredible. We were all blown away by the location, views, beds (insanely comfy).... The kitchen was gorgeous and everything was there that we needed. The check-in process was seamless, everything was awesome.
I cannot express how magical this place was to create so many wonderful family memories for us. I grew up in Northern California and currently live in Florida. Being able to bring our kids over to experience the area in a place like this was perfection. Our kids saw (and got in, even being warm weather babes) the Pacific Ocean for the first time!
We are already planning a return, and my parents are planning one while we don’t even get to go (so I’m jealous).

This was one of the most immaculate houses I have stayed and I have stayed at many. The art and attention to architectural detail was mind blowing. The gardens were amazing and I have not even gotten to the views!!!

My family and i traveled from Florida to take by 86 and 87 year old grandparents on a bucket list trip to see the redwoods, and ride the skunk train. We choose the house for the views, location to fort bragg and having a prime bedroom downstairs for any one unable to go up stairs. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, sitting on the patio everday. We cooked several times and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchenware available. The coffee and creamer was a nice touch since the nearest country store is about a 10 min drive. We saw several park and beaches near by and were blown away and the landscape and rocks such a difference compared to Florida beaches. The drive to get to fort bragg was pretty windy roads for 1.5 hours, that I was not expecting and my daughter gets car sick easily. But it was worth it!

As usual, Mendocino Preferred delivered on their promise of a beautiful vacation home to relax and unwind. Sea Cloud was the perfect spot for my birthday gathering and everyone in attendance had a wonderful time.

The view is amazing! One of the best on the coast. Afternoon sun in the upstairs rec area and dining room make tv watching and dining annoying. The addition of a couple of shades in both locations would make a huge difference. The satelite internet was down during our entire stay and cell reception is marginal at best. Not good if business needs to be done or there is an emergency. A fireplace insert would make a huge difference in keeping the dining and kitchen areas warm and save a great deal in propance costs and ash being blown onto the hearth during storms. The heat goes straight up the chimney and keeping the pilot lit in heavy winds is problematic. Lighting fixtures over the dining room table need to be replaced. The contacts are worn and the bulbs are contstantly going off. These issues should be corrected in a beautiful house asking top dollar.

I've lived near the California coast all my life, and this property is the quintessential dream of all things California coast. The Cypress trees, the foliage, the greenery, and of course the ocean in its north coast roaring splendor. The view of the ocean is unobstructed and panoramic with over a 180-degree view, and right on the bluff. The house is large with 4 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms, all spotless and clean. Kitchen is huge and had more than enough supplies. The view from the kitchen is unparalleled, second only to the view from upstairs. We called the Mendocino Preferred Vacation Rental team with a couple of questions while we were there, and they bent over backwards to help us. Very professional. I highly recommend the Sea Cloud, it's worth the splurge. RB

The experience was great. There was a glitch with the plumbing that flooded the showers at the lowest level. It resulted in our having to change our breakfast plans. However, it was resolved and it did not affect our enjoyment of our stay. Another minor issue is that the heater in the living room is not working properly. We were unable to resolve it but once again it didn’t affect us very much. In all cases management was very supportive. I definitely would recommend Sea Cloud to my friends.

We had a wonderful time. The house has amazing views of the ocean. It was super clean, warm and cozy. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary at the SeaCloud house. This house was great for all of us to enjoy. We had a photographer come to the property and take family photos on the beautiful grounds.

This home was great! Just wish I could have brought my 3 Other grandchildren !

We were so happy with the house and it was clean and had a beautiful view! We vacation every year on the coast and this was the best place we stayed and plan on coming back!

The only complaint is there was ants in the kitchen and the furniture could be more comfortable by the television.

Sea Cloud was a great place for us. Plenty of room. Immaculately clean. Gorgeous views from the playroom upstairs. The only thing we’d like to see different is the hot tub being only accessible from the master bedroom. It would be nice if all guests could access it without having to go through the master. Still highly recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Cloud. The house is spacious, very clean, well furnished, and has a modern kitchen. The ocean views are spectacular!

In a word, fabulous. The house was stunning and had everything we could possibly want.

What's not to like? This home is wonderful. Private spaces for up to 4 couples. Common areas upstairs and down. The pool table kept the guys entertained on foggy days. There's a great walking beach nearby. The hot tub was lovely. We got fresh crab at the harbor. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a perfect week! We hope to return to this home in the spring.

Sea Cloud was awesome. Perfect location for our son's wedding in Westport. Right on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

This vacation home is amazing! Beautiful setting and lots of room for our family of 8. Very comfortable home and quiet surroundings. The pool table was a big hit for us, and the views from upstairs are spectacular! We spent 3 nights and wished we had more time there. We hope to return again!

This house is simply perfect. View, AMAZING. Kitchen, PERFECT. Rooms, ALL WITH THEIR OWN BATHROOM. This is a great house for multiple families, plenty of space. Very well kept home. Couldn’t have been better.

Spent a few days at this wonderful home. Amazing views of the coast. Numerous spots to hang out with my friends. Everyone was pleased with the rooms, baths and kitchen area. Home was clean and had everything we needed.

The view is just amazing and the house is spacious! Love that the sun sets right in front of our living room. The hot tub is in a location where you have the best view of the ocean and the sunset! It’s minutes to downtown and Glass Beach. Everything went out very smoothly from check in to check out! We would highly recommend this place.

The Sea Cloud is quite the pad, with just about every amenity you could want. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the house is massive. I loved the kitchen and I took full advantage it. They do need a knife set or something cause we had steak and lobster one night and hand to scrounge up 4 steak knives, but they did have a massive steamer pot for the 4 extra large lobster tails which was really nice.

It's really close to Seaside beach but it would be really cool if they found a way to make path down to the hidden cove/beach which you currently cannot get to. I believe one of the neighboring houses has a pathway down. It really is an amazing location and view.

One side note that is worthy, the wifi is really low bandwidth, so do not plan on coming out and working from this place. We also have cameras at our home that allows us to check on our house (we live in a high fire prone area) and not having good wifi meant it was very hard to check on home and make sure everything looked ok.

Lastly, the hot tube was not very hot. 99 to 100 degrees, which is not hot enough to make it ok for "community" use. There is a sign that says to not mess with the settings but if they don't want people messing with the settings they need to make sure they set the temp to 104. Also the water looked cloudy and slightly green, so we did not partake in the tub. We have one at home so it wasn't a huge deal but it is always nice to sit in a tub, sip on a drink and stare at the ocean when you're vacationing. They should look into that though.

Other than that, the place was fabulous. The pool table was fun, albeit I don't think it's level, but still fun to play in the evening. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We absolutely LOVED this house and it’s location. We had a group of 7 and no one had a single bad thing to say about it. We already booked the house for my birthday again next year! The house has amazing views and is very private even though it shares a driveway with another house. I really loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom, it gave everyone more privacy during the trip. The common spaces are amazing and the pool table was so much fun! We also loved that the hot tub was overlooking the water. Sunsets are 10/10 from this property and being able to watch from the comfort of a hot tub made it so much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place. And it is a GREAT price for the amount of house and million dollar views you get with your stay.

Our yearly family trip was a success! Our vacation rental, Sea Cloud, was everything we hoped for with four full size bedrooms- two king and two queens all with their own bathrooms. An additional full bathroom downstairs helped insure privacy. Location was 7 miles north of Fort Bragg, Ca which meant no crowds but close enough to go shopping and sight seeing. The wildlife around the house kept us going- we saw a red fox and two otters in our back yard, many birds including a vulture spreading its wings wide sunning itself while sitting on a post! 180 degree view of ocean and sunsets were incredible. Management staff were there if needed and they were responsive when contacted. The house has good quality finishes and was very clean. What we really liked was no bunk rooms as we had six adults, no kids. Everyone had their own space to retreat to.

Wonderful to smell the sea, trees, hear and see the waves crushing.
My family loved being able to work remotely for a couple hours a day and still feel it was a vacation with the awesome view and being so close to the beach, trails and good restaurants.

This house is everything you need for a vacation to create some great memories.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The views from this rental are incredible. Lots of space for everyone. This house is fully loaded with everything you need for a great weekend. Looking forward to making a trip back in the future. It was about a 4 hour drive from Sacramento and so worth it.

Sea Cloud is beautiful/functional/squeaky clean. It is one of the top places to stay in Mendocino. The views from the home are terrific. Having stayed in many ocean front rentals along the Calif. and Oregon coast over the past 20 years-Sea Cloud is in the top 5. The staff at Mendocino Preferred was great in helping with the booking as we had to change dates twice. Sea Cloud a place to empty your stress bucket for sure.

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view. Our family really enjoyed the pool table on the top floor. Was so nice that each bedroom had their own bathroom. The home was very clean (compliments to your cleaning staff). Truly hope that one day we can return to the Sea Cloud.

Sea Cloud is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever experienced. With 4 “masters”, an open kitchen and dining area, panoramic views, hot tub and pool table, plus so much more, this house has been the absolutely perfect pandemic retreat. Ready to book my 4th stay!

If you want one word - it’s “immaculate”. Otherwise, it’s perfectly located, very private, and beautifully lush. Inside it is updated, clean, and has much fun to be discovered. Hot tub was a highlight, and playing pool overlooking the ocean was great fun.
The house has all amenities, and we enjoyed every minute!

This was our third stay here. We booked the Thanksgiving stay months before the pandemic hit, but we knew this place would be a wonderful place to stay no matter what the lockdown advice was. This was my family's first trip to Fort Bragg that didn't include shopping and enjoying the town the way we would during better times. This house, right on the coast with views that cant be beat was a wonderful place to spend a week enjoying living a short while in a new environment that was clean and safe. We will be back in the future, pandemic or not.

This was the best house we've ever stayed in this far. We try and come up once a year and this is an uncredible house. No words can describe how beautiful this house was. We stayed for three nights and wish we could have stayed for three more.

Sea Cloud is an 11 out of 10. Couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful, peaceful setting. The staff at Mendocino Preferred are friendly and professional. The house was very clean and well stocked for all kitchen and bathroom needs. Amazing views from almost every window. Turn off all the light at night, take a dip in the spa and enjoy the blanket of stars. We will definitely be staying here again!

The pictures just don't do it justice. This is one of the best rentals I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Having 4 (what I would call) masters and an additional bathroom for community use, starts you off on the right foot. The house is well appointed, beautiful views, a huge table for working, dining, or just visiting with your family friends. Pool table with a wood burning fire place sets the mood for evening relaxation and socializing. Honestly, the Sea Cloud is as close to perfect as you can get.

This entire property inside and out is stunning .
The front and back yards are large and beautiful.
Plenty of space .
There are two different beaches that you can watch endlessly from the backyard or from the hot tub out on the the master bedroom deck .
The interior of the house is modern rustic . We were pleasantly surprised at the comfort and construction of this beautiful home .
Full beach access is literally 200 yards down the road from this home .
Sea Cloud is truly a GEM on this stretch of coast and we definitely will return .

We celebrated our 25th anniversary here. Two people in this spacious, wonderful house. The property is fantastic, the views are stunning and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The house was very comfortable, roomy, well supplied with cooking, eating and drinking utensils. We prepared and enjoyed our meals here.The fireplace and wood stove were a warm welcome for the cool mornings and nights.
We also enjoyed the pool table,( except my wife won every game, must of been the wine... )
Also, sitting outside,with my wife, enjoying the view and sound of the crashing waves, with a bottle of wine was very nice.
There was one item that was distracting from all of the positive things, the hot tub was right outside the up stairs master bedroom, on the deck, and it would run most all night (keeping the water temperature hot) so we didn't get a good night sleeping in that bedroom and had to move to another. It would be nice to have a switch to turn it off.
Note: I noticed from some of the other reviews that
they stated the location was too far from Fort Brag,it really is not, the drive to town is very enjoyable.
But,I would recommend Sea Cloud to friends and family.

Couldn’t have been happier with our selection of the Sea Cloud for our coastal vacation. Perfect place for 4 couples, each with own bathroom plus an extra bath, and beds were very comfortable. Incredible views from all places in the house. House had everything we needed, although we needed a longer stay to finish that 1000 piece Ravenswood puzzle . The redwood tables, artwork and antique furniture added to our complete enjoyment of the Sea Cloud.
Ideal location for a day trip to the redwoods, day trip to Anderson Valley wineries, and for checking out the great shops and places to eat in Mendocino and Fort Bragg. We definitely want to come back again!

The house was even better than the online pictures show! We stay in homes all over the country and this magnificent view was one of the best we have ever seen! In all of our communication with Mendocino Preferred Vacation Rentals, the service we received was very kind, prompt and professional.

Lovely, spacious, spotless, well maintained home. The kitchen is awesome, well stocked and felt like home. First vacation that we preferred cooking dinners in over going out. There’s a well fed resident raccoon that sits on the deck every night waiting patiently for leftovers. The views from every room are absolutely breathtaking. Comfy beds, nice bathrooms. Always had windows open to hear the crashing waves and the starry night sky is amazing. Sunset, deck, wine nights and sunrise, hot tub, coffee mornings... Perfect. A short walk to the secluded beach. Truly everything you’d hope for in a Northern California home. Never really felt we wanted or needed to go far from the home. Loved it! I chose the property because I ran the Avenue of Giants Marathon up In Humboldt and this was by far the nicest property south. Fort Bragg (locals-fishing town) is 10 min south. Mendocino (tourist-quaint) is about 20 min south. Anderson Valley wineries 40 min south.

Sea Cloud is an amazing home. Absolutely beautiful, high end fixtures, awesome view and so comfortable. There were 8 of us and the fact the each bedroom had it's own bath was outstanding, plus an extra bath. 2 living areas, pool table, 2 tv's and spa made for plenty of room and fun for everyone. Dining table seated all 8 of us and there was an additional game table for the jigsaw puzzle. The kitchen was very nicely supplied with high end appliances and 2 refrigerators. Property was clean and well maintained. Grounds were beautiful and I just can't say enough about the beautiful ocean view. I highly recommend it! We will definitely be back!!

Most wonderful place for a weekend together. My sisters and I had plenty of space and the house and ocean views are beautiful.

This was our return trip for another cozy Thanksgiving stay at Sea Cloud. The location is ideal for a family stay no matter what the weather outside is like. This home give you room to move about without tripping over each other, yet has stunning views of the ocean no matter where you go in the house.

Myself and four friends had a wonderful mid-week stay at Sea Cloud. The house had everything you could want, including comfortable beds, for an enjoyable time cooking, playing pool, sipping wine and taking in the breathtaking views of the Mendocino Coast

This property is absolutely lovely. The views are breathtaking. The dining room lights were not working, so we had our dinner by kitchen light, which added a bit of ambiance. Would liked to have had more than one bathtowel and washrag per person for the weekend and perhaps an extra blanket in the closet. The maintenance man came Saturday afternoon to fix the lights and bring us another coffee pot that worked. The lights needed an electrician, as the maintenance man could not fix them. Overall though we had a great time and would consider returning. Lovely home, quality appliances and furnishings.

Our group of 4 couples has made this an annual destination... It’s a beautiful property, in a unique location... The property managers and staff keep it “spotless”, and it’s far enough from neighbors, that you feel like you’re alone on a beautiful bluff overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean... Leave one of the large windows open, and fall asleep listening to the ocean waves crashing on the beach below...

Amazing experience!

The house is a bit north of downtown Mendocino but it is well-worth the drive. The property itself is fabulous - each BR has its own bathroom, modern kitchen, spacious - probably the best conditioned rental we've stayed in over the past 10 years. Location on the cliff is top notch - beautiful views of the coast.

Our group stayed mainly at the house: cooking, eating, drinking and hanging out. A beach is nearby but we didn't venture out. The wineries in Anderson Valley are a bit of a drive from the house so we just stopped by on our drive home.

Arrived at Sea Cloud on a Monday afternoon. It was still light out so our first views out the back windows were breathtaking. We are a family of 5 including 3 teens. We ended up eating in the well equipped kitchen every night and used the grill at lunch time. We did not expect to eat in so many nights, but we had difficulty finding restaurants that got us excited in Ft. Bragg. It worked out great regardless. We saved a lot of money by not going out which was great. Hit the beach the parks and horseback riding with Ricochet Ranch. All were great. We did the 3 hour ride with Ricochet and it was awesome. Could not ask for a better stay. Thank you....

We enjoyed a lovely reunion with my siblings in this beautiful home with a great ocean view. The home was spotless and comfortable with five bathrooms and four bedrooms. We loved the windows in the pool table room and were visited by a raccoon and a fox on our last night.

I appreciated coming into the home with the fireplace going and hot tub ready. Overall the place was clean. The window behind the bed and the skylights were dirty. And the bathroom diwnstairs in the bedroom facing the water bathtub didn't have a good stopper to be able to take a bath
