Buckhorn Cove

Probably the best ocean view rental on the coast. Opened the door on arrival to a warm fireplace going, from there it just got better. The hot tub had the best jets I've ever been in. Plenty of wood to use for the additional wood fireplace. The view of the ocean's waves, the rocks, the sounds couldn't be any better.

We had a great time, check in/out was simple. The views and location are unbeatable. Would return. Only thing is the online info said the house had 3 king beds and 1 queen. There were only 2 kings and the other 2 were queens (almost felt like full beds). The house was clean but on some sheets you can tell an animal was there before by leftover hair. Again the house location and views are spectacular. Thank you! We will be back!

This property is quite spectacular.
The house is charming with just the right amount of old to complement the new. Attention to detail was much appreciated.
I was very impressed with the cleanliness. Hats off to the cleaning crew!!!!
The grounds are inspiring. Crossing the bridge to sit on the peninsula lets you enjoy even more of its beauty.
My only nitpicky comment would be that there are no dimmers.
That being said, we would return in a flash. You will be thrilled that you have decided to stay here.

This place is more beautiful in person than the pictures show. We loved everything about it. Very clean, bright and cozy. We did not want to leave.

Nothing less than perfect!

The location is absolutely stunning. The views from the home and bluffs are such a wonderful showcase of how truly breathtaking nature can be. Every direction looking out from the house or from the bluff areas was truly amazing. The house and cottage are very well designed and very very clean. The kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of dishware and cooking tools. The wifi worked well. The grounds around the house are very well kept. The deck was perfect for dining and sitting to take in the view. The hot tub was very clean and the perfect way to end the day and listen to the sounds of the ocean. Will definitely be coming back to this location to enjoy again some day.

This property was simply gorgeous, the location couldn't be more dramatic and peaceful, it has it's own private peninsula walking park perfect for sunset viewing. We'll be back "same time next year"

We have rented a house along the Mendocino Coast every year for 29 years! This location is now at the top of our list! The views were amazing, the house extremely clean and comfortable, and a great location.
As we had friends celebrating an anniversary, we also enjoyed a spectacular dinner at the Ledford House.

Buckhorn Cove lived up to the pictures. The setting is stunning and the location convenient for day trips. One day we were surprised to see a sea otter wander across the front deck - atop the 50 foot cliff.

The house is recently remodeled and well equipped. On arrival the place was spotless with all recently cleaned windows.

The only personal difference we would note is that the mattress in the upstairs master bedroom is extremely soft with no box spring or solid surface above the bedframe bars.

All in all, a memorable visit!

Incredible view. Wonderful private island, Very comfortable. An excellent place to do some soul-searching.

There is an unobstructed 180 view from the West and South sides of the house of the ocean, In addition to the large Western/Southern deck there is a shady patio area on the East side of the house with a small garden area surround. Good laundry facilities. Comfortable beds. Large screen TV where you can log onto many streaming sites (Bring your passwords).
The kitchen was equipped so well, it was hard to believe. EVERYTHING that one could want to cook a fairly complex meal (a Mandoline!!!!, salad spinner, sharp knives of every shape and size.....)
If you have a chance to stay in this property--take it. You won't be disappointed.
The house is a 10 minute drive South of the town of Mendocino.

We usually travel to Mendocino with friends every winter and try to find the best house on the water. We recently stayed at Buckhorn Cove and this is it. Stunning views with a new hot tub on the deck. Everyone in our party was in awe. Would highly recommend.

Very relaxing, great vacation home. A place you don't need to leave, bring food and drinks and you don't need to leave the house, best views in the area.

I cannot wait to return, the place is exactly as pictured, wonderful location and the kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen I have ever experienced in a vacation rental.
